NORMAN E. “ED” KAMPBELL, P.E.
Ed Kampbell has worked as a design engineer, public works manager (Little Rock, Arkansas) and a construction professional all in the field of underground technology. has extensive experience in the area of cured-in-place-pipes (CIPP), fold and form, close fit liners, and most recently rehabilitation of sewer laterals. Ed is also an expert in pipe-soil structural interaction and the design of both flexible and rigid pipes. He has over 29 years experience in the design, manufacture, installation and rehabilitation of pipelines for water and wastewater projects in over 42 countries. Ed has a BS in Civil Engineering from the Univ. of Arkansas, and is a registered Professional Engineer in the States of Arkansas and Ohio.

ANDY ROBINSON
Andy is a leading expert in tunneling, pipe jacking and microtunnelling as well as directional drilling. He has nearly 30 years’ experience in these fields in contracting, engineering management and consulting. He has managed trenchless projects for Jason in many regions of the world and is a hands-on, problem-solving professional engineer. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Aston, UK.

JAMES THOMSON
James is the founder and former Chairman and owner of Jason Consultants. He has held senior posts in the civil engineering industry in the UK and overseas over more than 50 years, and was a pioneer in jacking of underground structures. James is a recognised international authority on a range of trenchless technology areas and was a leader in the development of the whole trenchless field. His experience encompasses both installation and rehabilitation and he is a chartered professional civil engineer.

DAVID ABBOTT
David has over forty years’ experience in civil engineering and has been actively involved in the design and construction of tunnelling, pipe jacking, microtunnelling, other forms of trenchless installation, and submarine pipelines for many years. He has managed the operations of contractors and tunnelling equipment manufacturers in Asia and the USA. David holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Liverpool University, UK and is a registered Professional Engineer throughout Europe.

MARK GREENWOOD
Mark is a structural engineer with over 30 years of experience in composite design. He has been leading the development of new reinforcement products and applications for composite materials, developing long-term performance data for new reinforcement products, and supporting the development of new reinforcements for the filament wound pipe industry. Mark has also developed a pipe analysis program for seismic loading considerations, and a sub-aqueous pipe installation method. Mark has a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University.

Dr. JIE TAI HUANG
Dr Huang holds a BE in Structural Engineering from Zhejiang University and a PhD in Geomechanics from Sydney.  He is a Registered Engineer in Hong Kong and Australia and has previously served as Chairman for CHKSTT.  He has spent some twenty five years working on infrastructure projects for major consulting firms, in recent years he has worked on a number of underground utilities installation and rehabilitation project, subways design and construction.  His experience includes several successful applications of trenchless technologies to solve unusual engineering difficulties and working with multi-cultural and multi-discipline teams.  He has experience of working in Shanghai and other rapidly developing regions of China.

Dr. JOHN HEAVENS
Dr. Heavens is an acknowledged international authority on pressure pipe systems, their inspection, assessment and rehabilitation. He has many years’ experience in the design and application of the full range of pipe rehabilitation technologies throughout the world, and has managed the rehabilitation operations of several companies. John holds a B. Sc. In Metallurgy from the University of Surrey, UK, and an M.Sc. in Materials Science and a Ph.D. in Fracture Mechanics from the University of Bristol, UK. He is Technical Secretary of ISTT.

MIKE KIRBY
Mike is Jason’s leading specialist in directional drilling. He has over 20 years’ experience in this field and his knowledge is particularly strong in the design of complex directionally drilled crossings. He has managed the design and development of several innovative directional drill machines and has been project manager for many HDD projects. Mike is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Washington and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA from the University of Washington, Seattle.
